Bankrupt, Coked Up & Fucked Up

Bankrupt, Coked Up & Fucked Up

by Doreen Noble

The memoir of Doreen Noble, follows her life story as she’s dragged through two decades of chaos, first by a sociopathic millionaire she calls the Agent of Chaos, then by a Vegas narcissist known as Captain Creepy. At twenty-four, working as a stripper to survive, Doreen collides with the Agent of Chaos: part Wolf of Wall Street, part Tony Soprano. He doesn’t just enter her life; he consumes the entirety of it. And what follows is a fever dream of money laundering, drugs, prostitutes, and systemic corruption, culminating in a £3.5 million divorce settlement she never sees and bankruptcies engineered by a crooked solicitor and a predatory judge. Just when Doreen claws her way free, she’s pulled into another nightmare: Captain Creepy. If the first husband was high-octane crime and chaos, this one is Dirty John meets Baby Reindeer: pitiful, toxic, and dangerous in his own right. He tips off the press, smears her name, and when his violence lands her in jail over a smashed window, the tabloids circle like vultures. Her trauma becomes a grotesque theatre: Jerry Springer on crack, Jeremy Kyle on steroids. WARNING CONTAINS BAD LANGUAGE - JUST A BIT.

My Knickers Feel Weird and Other Christmas Calamities

My Knickers Feel Weird and Other Christmas Calamities

by T.E Rosemeyer

Commander Tess Caputo recruited Chief Petty Officer Harriett Bond to handle logistics—ammo, gear, transport, phones. What she didn’t mention was the most perilous task of all: planning the staff Christmas party. When a single errand spirals into retail warfare—complete with extreme couponers, parking-lot battles, and a rogue feather boa—Harry finds herself conscripted into the most dangerous mission yet: surviving the season without committing a felony. Backed up (and occasionally mocked) by a team of Tier One operators who’d rather face gunfire than Washington traffic, Harry must battle malls, mobs, and mutinous underwear in a desperate bid to pull Christmas together. Explosively funny, riotously chaotic, and laced with heart, this holiday caper proves the battlefield isn’t always overseas—it’s the mall parking lot at rush hour. Perfect for fans of military banter, found-family, chaos and rants. This novella is Bridget Jones-Meets-Jingle All The Way. My Knickers Feel Weird and Other Christmas Calamities is Christmas gone full tactical clusterf**k.

The first five volumes of the best selling Misfit Squadron series, now available in a single box set at half price. Misfit Squadron. The squadron was a legend, a myth almost, like Father Winter, or the Dark Scythesman. The stories that circulated about them in hushed tones were of reject pilots who had been thrown out of the regular RAC, carrying out impossible acts of derring-do in aircraft that they had built themselves - deeds of heroism and courage in defence of the Kingdom of Britain, all while finding the time to shoot down more enemy aircraft in France than the rest of the RAC combined... The "Misfit Squadron" series is a steampunk reimagining of World War 2, chronicling the adventures of a squadron of elite British pilots flying purpose-built machines against the Prussian Empire. For enjoyers of action, adventure, steampunk, alternate history, aviation, war and military books... and just about everyone really!

The Broken Cabin

The Broken Cabin

by Rebecca Cassells

“What’s up?” Colin greeted the stranger. “You know what's up. Today’s the day that the British bastard invades,” his tone was harsh, and Colin quickly glanced in my direction to see the shock on my face. “You might want to be careful what you say, man,” Colin said and gestured his head towards where I was sitting, but his friend was too busy chugging his beer to notice. “Don’t give me that crap, Col. When I meet this Ricky, I am going to make sure he knows exactly what I think of him. The thieving limey bastard will regret coming to my town.” Lucky for me, Ginny was too far away at our table as well as preoccupied with her phone in one hand and the last bite of her burger in the other to hear him. “It’s not stealing if you bought it legally,” I piped up with my very strong British accent, forcing the man to turn abruptly to me. “And who the hell are you to…” He stopped what was going to be a snarky question the second he saw me. “Raquel Lawton, aka the limey bastard.” I held out my hand with a smirk, and he took it with a dumbfounded look. “But you, you can call me Ricky.” Colin was sniggering behind his fist at his friend's flustered appearance. “How much do I owe you, Colin?” I asked instead of getting another drink, thinking it would be better to make a quick exit. “As I said, it's on the house. In fact, why don’t I get you a beer for being the first person to ever silence this moron?” The moron’s head whipped around to glare at Colin, and I took that opportunity to call Ginny over and tell her we were leaving. “Thanks, Colin, but we have to see our stolen property and get some sleep. Maybe another time.” With that, I took Ginny’s hand and marched out of the tavern, not daring to look back and give the asshole my attention. Ricky might be trying to be strong for her daughter as they make a new life for themselves in a new country but will that strength hold up against a town that clearly thinks the worst of her before she even stepped off the plane and the grumpy handy man whose dream home she "stole.

Ma vie entre ses mains: FRENCH

Ma vie entre ses mains: FRENCH

by Sarah Louise Rosmond

The Diamond Ring

by Sue McGarvie

"They sought adventure and self-discovery in a world alive with magic, but when ancient evils and profound betrayals threatened to unravel their very lives, an unlikely fellowship discovered that their truest power lay in unbreakable bonds forged in fire and love." Harmony, a witch of ancient lineage, sought only to explore the hidden wonders of the Isles and gather companions for her fledgling adventurer’s ring. Leaving behind her secluded, cherry-blossom kingdom, she envisioned a journey of discovery and quiet purpose. Yet, the path ahead holds more than just magic and mystery. It is fraught with insidious dangers, from the fiery breath of corrupted beasts to the chilling whispers of a malevolent power that twists life itself. As Harmony’s fellowship grows—embracing a fiercely loyal werewolf, a fiery earth mage, a wise dreamweaver, a mischievous fairy, and an enigmatic dwarf—their bonds are forged in the crucible of shared peril. But when a new danger arises in the circle, trust shatters, and betrayal threatens to destroy everything. Hunted by a cunning, ancient evil that preys on their deepest fears, the nascent Diamond Ring must venture into the wild heart of A' Ghàidhealtachd and the desolate Na h-Eileanan Fuar. There, they will face trials that challenge not just their formidable powers, but the very essence of who they are. Sacrifices will be made, leaving wounds that run more profound than any blade, and unexpected transformations will redefine their purpose. Can a family born of circumstance and forged in fire truly heal its deepest scars? And when faced with the ultimate choice, will love be enough to conquer a darkness that threatens to unravel them all, or will their hard-won peace demand a price too profound to bear?

My Life in His Hands

by Sarah Louise Rosmond

Unfortunately abuse happens everywhere and can come in all shapes and sizes, sometimes it can happen right in front of us and we still wont see it, or maybe we just choose to ignore it hoping that one day it will go away on its own. This is my true story about living with a monster, a monster that only those in my household would have ever had the unfortunate chance to meet, the monster I called my daddy!!! We cannot choose who we are related to, but we can sure as hell despise them. My story is hard to read in parts I am not going to lie, but was even harder to live it. It has taken 35 years but I am living proof that just because your life starts our feeling pointless and a punishment that you don't have to accept it. As an adult. you are the only person in control of your life and only you can make the changes if they are needed. My life was in his hands for a long time!!!Now you have chance to hold my life in your own...If my book can help just one person, then I feel that my horrible childhood might have a purpose and not just be a punishment. I will say that have no regrets, what happened in my life has happened and can never be undone.

ABYSS (Thought Provoking Poetry & Prose)

ABYSS (Thought Provoking Poetry & Prose)

by D.G. Torrens

Poetry is a unique voice that can deliver words to people in ways a normal conversation cannot. The words resonate and make you think. The words can be like sutures, healing from the inside out. Someone finally gets you and you are not alone. The words make sense and you realise that maybe I am not going crazy after all. You conclude-it's not just me; I am not alone in my darkness. ABYSS takes the reader on a journey – a journey we are all forced to take at some point in our lives. When we are suffering inwardly, we often keep our inner suffering concealed from those closest to us. We put on a brave face and smile when all we want to do is cry and scream aloud. Winning the fight is not easy. The fight can feel like an endless battle and consume you from the inside out. The dark shadows buried deep in the far corners of our minds when we are at our most vulnerable, feed on our pain – loss, grief, rejection, depression, anxiety and much more. No one is immune. Through the art of poetry, I have touched on these raw emotions using some of my own experiences. I have delved deep into the darkness that I have journeyed in my lifetime to convey the emotional struggles that I know plague many. Emotional struggles are not a human defect – it’s naturally human.

Behind the glamour of playing one of soap’s most iconic super-bitches was a young woman fighting silently for her life. At 15, Steph weighed just 4 stone, teetering on the edge of death from anorexia. Determined to survive, she clung to the one thing she believed would bring her happiness: becoming an actress. Steph made her dream come true hitting the nation's screens—but the battle didn’t end. As her star rose, her health and private life unravelled behind the scenes. Over 25 years Steph secretly fought bulimia, endured multiple mental breaks, juggled motherhood, all while her personal life was plastered across the tabloids for entertainment. In Spite of you

In Spite of you

by Sarah Louise Rosmond

It took me an awfully long time to speak out about my abusive childhood, whether it was down to the fear instilled into me throughout years of threats and manipulations, or the fear of being on my own, I had been silenced for the best part of my life. When I first told my story, I felt the need to protect everyone involved, including my abusive family. To save myself any hassle I decided to change names and places and it helped for a while, that was until my twisted aunt shone the spotlight on our whole family. By now the can of worms was completely opened and I felt backed into a corner. It was at this point, I felt like I needed to stand up for myself once and for all. I needed to protect myself, after all my so-called family never did. Pressing charges on my father was an emotional roller coaster and one of the hardest times in my life, and although I was completely alone, I felt the supported from every single survivor that had crossed my path, whether they were online connections or survivors I have met in person, I was doing it for every one of them, as much as I was doing it for myself. I found that over the years many survivors hadn’t the strength to speak out, let alone stand up to their abusers in court. You see, abuse can do that to you, break you down so you doubt yourself and your own ability, but we are a lot stronger than we give ourselves credit for. So, for me I was gaining justice, not just for myself, but for every single abuse survivor out there too. Abuse happens in all shapes and sizes and can affect you regardless of age or gender. You are not any of the disheartening words you have been told, nor are you the circumstances they placed you in and most of all, you are not a victim! You are a survivor and a mighty one at that!I may never meet you, but know I am proud of each and every one of you. We all have a story inside us, and we all experience life differently, this is what makes us so interesting.

Those Old Gods

Those Old Gods: Short Stories A Humorous Urban Fantasy of Gods, Death, and Divine Bureaucracy The gods didn’t retire. They unionised. Welcome to the Company: a deeply British bureaucracy tasked with containing eldritch hazards, supervising divine egos, and filing incident reports on the apocalypse before lunch. Meet Juno Verdant. Seer-class, divine-adjacent, and one sarcastic comment away from a formal reprimand. She sees too much. She says too much. She absolutely will argue with Death about a sandwich. Across these darkly whimsical stories, you’ll encounter: • a concept that should not exist (and is deeply smug about it) • a petty feud with Death that becomes departmental • a Company car that should not be trusted (do not whisper to the dashboard) • a “parenting day” with Nature herself (the flowers are spying; act natural) This is urban fantasy where cosmic horror meets office politics. Where gods require supervision. Where grief occasionally wears eyeliner. And where every disaster requires a form in triplicate. Some readers prefer dragons. Some prefer divine paperwork. Sharp, absurd, and unapologetically British, this collection is for readers who like their mythic chaos deadpan and their divine interventions professionally documented. If you’ve ever wondered what would happen if Good Omens had stricter HR policies — you’re home. Reactions are not standardised. Contains: British wit, queer vibes, eldritch admin, found-family edges, a haunted vending machine, and one very tired HR (sorry — DR: Divine Resources). Coming soon: Those Old Gods - JUNO, where the chaos grows teeth, and the paperwork bites back. (Yes, I’ll be narrating that one too. You’re welcome, or I’m sorry. We’ll find out together.) Preview of Chapter One Included. Content Notes: Mild language, peril/horror imagery, gallows humour, off-page intimacy mentions, queer themes, found-family dynamics, no graphic violence or explicit sex.

Spawn Of The Deep (From The Deep Book 3)

by Michael Bray

Two years after the tragic death of Clara Thompson, those involved have been put to trial for freeing the creature into the ocean which, although destroyed, birthed young which were never found. When a legal loophole sees the accused go free without charge, a chance encounter for Henry Rainwater with Clara’s sister, Jade, pulls Henry back into a world he promised never to return to. Jade’s independent investigations into the death of her sister have led her to billionaire Charles Decker, a man who she claims not only has live specimens of the creatures, but is actively breeding them. Along with Ross Mackay, Henry and Jade begin to investigate Decker who, when challenged, seems more than willing to share the information about his work, further rousing their suspicions. When the trio are invited by Decker to the Triton Spire – a self-contained laboratory housed a mile beneath the Pacific Ocean where he is breeding the creatures - the trio discover that Decker is not being entirely open with them in relation to his intentions, and in fact has a very specific purpose in mind for pushing on with his breeding programme. Under threat from one of the worst tropical storms on record which is due to hit the facility and potentially halt their investigation, Henry and Jade continue to search for the truth, unaware that both human and animal demons from Henrys past are about to come back to haunt him. As the final part of the From the Deep trilogy is played out in the pressurised, claustrophobic confines of the Triton Spire, lives will be irreversibly changed as the desperate, distressed calls of Decker’s captive creatures draw in their fully grown, wild brethren, and sets in motion a chain of events which will change the lives of everyone in the facility forever…

Lieutenant Commander Marisol Cruz thought she’d missed her chance with Micah Fort. But when he ends up in her trauma bay six months later — broken, bleeding, and very much hers — She has to walk the line between duty and the truth: that she loves him. And when fate gives you a second chance, you don’t say no. Ex-Pararescueman Micah “Knox” Fort never meant to fall for her — Not his best friend’s little sister. Not the Navy combat medic who outranked his demons and carried her team through hell. But love doesn’t wait for permission. And neither did they. Now he’s grounded, healing in silence. She’s still out there, bleeding for a mission that doesn’t know her name. And the secret they’ve been hiding from everyone? About to detonate. When war comes for the woman he already gave everything to — All that’s left is the fight to bring her home. Because sometimes courage isn’t kicking doors. It’s staying. Waiting. Believing. And loving her loud enough to be heard through the silence. Second-chance military romance. Best friend’s little sister. Wounded warrior x combat medic. Proximity, professionalism, and pining. Battlefield scars, emotional healing. He’d die for her — but this time, he has to live. Guaranteed HEA.

Poison Kisses

Poison Kisses

by KAREN TEASDALE

Poison Kisses' is a harrowing true story of survival, betrayal, and the unthinkable cruelty hidden behind closed doors. From the outside, she was a doting mother. Behind the scenes, she was a narcissistic psychopath with a terrifying obsession to cause pain. Professionals were baffled though later her daughter was informed her mother had many complex mental health problems including Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy but her manipulation went far beyond seeking attention—she thrived on control, humiliation, and abuse. Her daughter was her primary target. Her son, also a victim, was manipulated into becoming a reflection of her—developing traits of a malignant narcissist. Their father, caught in the crossfire, became another casualty of her cruelty. The situation spiraled into chaos, with police attending the family home 237 times in just 18 months due to her son's escalating violence. Authorities couldn’t understand why she refused to let him go—but their toxic bond, rooted in her narcissistic psychopathy, meant they depended on each other in a deeply disturbing and destructive way. This is the raw, emotional account of a child made to believe she was sick, a family torn apart by psychological torment, and a woman who fought to uncover the truth after decades of abuse. From childhood confusion to adult revelations, this memoir sheds light on the dark reality of living with a parent whose love was a lie—and the strength it took to survive it. On her father’s deathbed, she made a promise to tell their story. This is it. This book contains themes of child abuse, psychological manipulation, and family trauma, including strong language and emotionally distressing content. It is intended for mature readers aged 18 and over. While based on true events, some names and identifying details may have been changed or anonymised to protect privacy. This story includes discussion of mental illness and disturbing behaviour that some readers may find triggering. Reader discretion is strongly advised.

Will they figure it in time or will they be separated by throwing away the gifts of the Moon Goddess. “Sorry,” he offered, and I could see in his eyes he meant it, but it didn’t change the fact that with his first sentence to me, he had caused me more pain than I had ever felt, and I had been through all sorts of torture, thanks to my parents. I wasn’t going to tell him that, though. I wasn’t going to be the weak female he assumed I was. “Don’t be, I’m a big girl.” I turned to walk away from him. “Wait,” he shouted. “Your pack is in the opposite direction.” “I know where my pack is, thank you. I have lived there my entire life, but that's not where I am going.” “Don’t be stupid, Princess. There’s at least one rogue still out there. You were already caught once.” “Thank you for the reminder, but I don’t have to explain myself to you. You haven’t even told me your name, so I am not going to tell you anything. Many young men and women join the Royal Aviator Corps dreaming of one day being fighter pilots and Britain needs as many of them in the cockpits of Spitsteams and Harridans as it can get. It takes hard work, dedication and not a little talent to become a fighter pilot, though, and many don’t make the grade. The intake of recruits from the Midlands in July 1941 is disappointingly small, with only eight cadets joining up and only six of them wanting to be pilots. Will any of them prove that they have what it takes to form part of the front line of defence of the Kingdom of Great Britain against the imminent Prussian invasion? What's left of us

by Katie Thorn

A haunting story of family, survival, and the ghosts an estate refuses to bury. On Dublin’s Ballymun estate, ghosts don’t stay dead — they get painted on walls, sung from balconies, and chased down canals. When Niamh O’Callaghan comes back home, she finds her family split and her name dragged into rumours of her long-dead father, Seamus. Kids chant his return, neighbours whisper about his laugh, and someone in a long coat is leaving cans and scratch cards on her doorstep. With her brothers slipping toward the Nolans’ grip, Bridie Nolan stirring trouble with her choir of fear, and Declan running schemes in the shadows, Niamh has to hold her family together while the estate itself pulls them apart. But is Seamus really back, or just another story Ballymun tells itself to keep the nights loud? The answer may not matter. What matters is who the O’Callaghans choose to be when the singing stops. Raw, dark, and unflinchingly real — What’s Left of Us is a novel about family, memory, and the price of carrying a name through a place that never forgets. The O’Callaghans are no strangers to trouble. Back on Ballymun’s estate, they find themselves dragged into a storm of rumours, threats, and debts tied to the ghost of their father, Seamus. Graffiti claims he lives. Kids chant his name from balconies. A man in a long coat stalks the underpass, laughing in a voice too familiar. Pint cans and scratch cards are left at their door — part warning, part welcome. For Niamh, returning home means holding together siblings already fracturing: Darren, pulled into Declan Nolan’s schemes; Shane, dreaming up disasters with stolen trolleys; Connor, stuck as lookout for every mistake; and Kelly, fierce as ever, keeping the roof over them even as the estate drags it down. Bridie Nolan wants quiet she can tax, Declan wants loyalty he hasn’t earned, and the estate itself seems to want a ghost more than truth. As fires burn by the canal and fists fly on the pitch, the O’Callaghans must decide whether to pay the price Friday demands, or write their own ending. When the reckoning comes, it isn’t about whether Seamus is alive or dead. It’s about what’s left of them — the scraps they can still call family, and the story they choose to carry forward.

Accessories To Murder

Accessories To Murder

by Simon Farrant

Benjamin McGuinness has built a nice little setup in the middle of nowhere. It’s going better than it should. A tattoo studio. No neighbours. No hassle. Just steady work, decent money, and the freedom to do things his way. Instead, he got Zack. Then the triplets. And that’s when things started to drift. At first, it’s harmless enough—new ideas, new ventures, a bit of expansion. A piggery. Leather goods. More money coming in than going out. Hard to argue with that. Then someone suggests something… different. Something that shouldn’t make sense. Something that definitely shouldn’t be legal. Something that, on paper, is a terrible idea. But it works. And once it works, it’s very hard to pretend it didn’t. What follows is a slow, steady slide into something much darker—where the lines blur, the justifications get easier, and the bodies start to matter a lot less than the profit. Because out here, away from everyone else, there’s only one real rule: If no one’s looking… why stop? Accessories to Murder is dark, dry, and quietly unhinged—a story about ambition, bad decisions, and a business that gets completely out of hand.

Return to The Deep (From The Deep Book 2)

by Michael Bray

Held in captivity for five years, the offspring of the creature which brought devastation to the oceans has existed in solitude as the government continue its attempts to genetically engineer without success. Henry Rainwater has become a drunk and a recluse, a broken man plagued by guilt over the devastation caused by his quest for the creature which ultimately cost his friends their lives. After a security breach necessitating moving the creature to a new facility is disrupted by a group of animal rights activists, the beast is set free into ocean, forcing those who vowed never to return to face their demons one last time, and for one man whose life was devastated by the first creature to formulate his lethal plan for revenge. Unbeknownst to them all, flamboyant billionaire Charles Decker had designs of his own on the creature, and will stop at nothing to take it for his own needs no matter the cost, financial or otherwise. As the creature decimates all that is set before it, unlikely alliances will be formed, trusts broken and lives risked as the individual groups seek to find the creature first for their own agenda, unaware that they will soon become the hunted rather than the hunters…

Tyler Matthews is desperate for change. Sick of his life and plagued by alcoholism, he makes the decision to divorce his wife, sell everything he owns and travel the world to try and find focus and rid himself of his addiction. Eventually arriving on the sun drenched shores of Australia and still plagued by his demons, he has spent all his savings and is facing the prospect of having to return to his old life. It is here that he meets two men with an outlandish story about a horde of sunken drug money in an area known as the Devil’s Triangle – Australia’s answer to its Bermuda namesake and said to be the lair of a terrifying monster of the deep. Offered a share of the fortune if he helps retrieve it, Tyler agrees to go with the men to the location, sceptical and thinking only of prolonging his journey of self discovery. He will learn, however, that this particular urban legend is real, and they encounter a giant of the seas, the previously thought to be extinct Megalodon which makes its home within the area of the Devil’s triangle. Barely escaping with their lives, the three men wash up on an isolated island – no more than a rocky outcrop with no vegetation, fresh water of food sources. As desperation to survive intensifies, horrifying decisions will be made that will illustrate how man is sometimes the most violent predator on earth and when left with no option will do anything, even the unthinkable, in order to survive.

Those Old Gods

Those Old Gods

by N. J. Leaver

Ender's Game

Ender's Game

by Orson Scott Card

From New York Times bestselling author Orson Scott Card, Ender's Game―adapted to film starring Asa Butterfield and Harrison Ford―is the classic Hugo and Nebula award-winning science fiction novel of a young boy's recruitment into the midst of an interstellar war.

In order to develop a secure defense against a hostile alien race's next attack, government agencies breed child geniuses and train them as soldiers. A brilliant young boy, Andrew "Ender" Wiggin lives with his kind but distant parents, his sadistic brother Peter, and the person he loves more than anyone else, his sister Valentine. Peter and Valentine were candidates for the soldier-training program but didn't make the cut―young Ender is the Wiggin drafted to the orbiting Battle School for rigorous military training.

Ender's skills make him a leader in school and respected in the Battle Room, where children play at mock battles in zero gravity. Yet growing up in an artificial community of young soldiers Ender suffers greatly from isolation, rivalry from his peers, pressure from the adult teachers, and an unsettling fear of the alien invaders. His psychological battles include loneliness, fear that he is becoming like the cruel brother he remembers, and fanning the flames of devotion to his beloved sister.

Is Ender the general Earth needs? But Ender is not the only result of the genetic experiments. The war with the Buggers has been raging for a hundred years, and the quest for the perfect general has been underway for almost as long. Ender's two older siblings are every bit as unusual as he is, but in very different ways. Between the three of them lie the abilities to remake a world. For decades, Indigenous women disappeared across Alaska — quietly, routinely, and with little consequence. Temperance Hale’s life as she knows it, ends the day the FBI come for her father. A respected bush pilot, admired and trusted, he is suddenly linked to a series of cold cases stretching back decades. By nightfall, everything Temperance thought she knew about her family, her name, and her past has collapsed. Her father’s legacy isn’t one of flight — it is one of shadows. As Special Agent Scott Hansen works through the brutal aftermath — identifying remains, returning names, standing before families who were never believed — Temperance is forced to reckon with what it means to survive a man who destroyed lives she will never fully know. This is not a hunt for a killer. It is a confrontation with the systems that allowed violence to persist, unnoticed and unanswered. Public Enemy

Public Enemy

by Simon Brading

On 1st October 2017 the Catalans went to the poles to vote on independence from Spain. The Spanish government didn’t like that very much and tried everything they could to stop it. Among other things, they sent thousands of police officers who attacked voters and broke down doors in an attempt to take the ballot boxes and close the polling stations. The Catalans didn’t like that very much and tried everything they could to go ahead, like peacefully resisting and hiding ballot boxes. 2 million people ended up being able to vote and the result was overwhelmingly in favour of independence. Which the Spanish government didn’t like. In the weeks and months that followed there were strikes and demonstrations on a daily basis in Catalunya and for a long time it seemed that all that was needed to set off an actual revolution was for a leader to emerge. Peter Brown was a loser and couldn’t lead a conga line, let alone a revolution. However, after he gets caught up in a riot in Barcelona, shortly after the referendum, that’s exactly what the whole world seems to think he’s doing.
